BOSTON (Reuters) - It's a "Star Wars" fan's dream -- the first public display of props and costumes from all six films in the series, including a replica cockpit of Han Solo's asteroid-battered Millennium Falcon. But the $5 million exhibit goes beyond entertainment and turns "Star Wars" into a educational tool for science and technology, fields in which U.S. dominance faces a challenge from a new generation of engineers in Asia.

The weekend

Pretty crappy weekend. The rain all day on Saturday was a wonderful excuse to stay home & watch TV morning, noon, and night. I didn't watch anything in it's entirety so I watched most of The Glass House which was ok, some of Chicago and a lot of miscellaneous nonsense. And why does TNT feel the need to run the same movie (this weekend it was Erin Brockovich) 20 times in one weekend??? Went to a friend's place to watch the Giants play some decent football on Sunday and it was nice to see a NY team actually win. I am, unfortunately, a Mets, Jets and Rangers fan - what can I say? I love the underdog! That's about it. Stay tuned for hopefully more interesting and cohesive posts.

Ok, here goes....

So, I decided to create this blog and I'm not really sure why. Maybe it's the "everybody else is doing it" syndrome and maybe I'm just a follower. Or maybe I think I have something to say. Or maybe I'm just an exhibitionist to a degree. Anyway, sometimes this may be personal, politcal, humorous, thoughtful, silly, naughty or who knows but for anyone out there who's reading - thanks for coming on the ride.
