Christmas in July

I pre-ordered my copy of "HP & the Deathly Hallows" about a month ago. I'd never pre-ordered any of the other books in the series but this one is so highly anticipated that I feared finding out any of the story (and thus surprises) before reading it myself. As it is, I'm sorry I read the NYTimes Thursday and what the reviewer (who somehow bought an early copy) had to say. Since I didn't pay extra to have guaranteed delivery for Saturday's release, I figured I wouldn't get it until at least Monday. Imagine my surprise when my doorbell rang on Saturday morning and it was the mailman telling me I had a package. * This is not where my tale becomes porn ;)* I had no idea what it could be since I didn't expect it & I was getting ready to go away for the weekend. Having rushed to get dressed, I opened the door, the mailman was there and once I realized what it was (the book was in special packaging), I felt like a kid at Christmas...in July!

As of now I've read about 100 pages and almost cried at least twice. It's really good, but alas really sad and it's just the beginning.
