It's really happening
For many years now I've been trying to find my passion as far as a career. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a singer but didn't have the chops for it. In high school, college and a little while after I was a stage manager and was told I was really good at it. Through a series of events, I chickened out, drank the kool-aid and elected to wear the golden handcuffs. I never felt that I fit in at most of my office jobs; the politics and the cattiness were never my style. After talking about becoming a voice-over artist for quite some time, I'm finally taking the plunge. Three different coaches and several hundred dollars later, I've decided that one can only hear they have "a great voice and talent they should do something with" so many times. I'll be recording my demo less than 2 weeks from now and have a friend working on the cover art, which I may post versions of to get your opinions (if anyone's still reading this blog, that is). I'm extremely nervous about all of this, but it's exciting to think I may very well be that sexy woman you hear on the TV or radio, selling you something you just have to have. Stay tuned!
